These documents, which have been made available to you, are copies of two separate income tax incidents. One incident occurred in the fall of 2008, the other in the summer of 2010.

In each incident, upon receiving the 'Demand for Income Tax Return' from the California Franchise Tax Board, a reply to the demand was written. A Confirmation letter was then issued by the agency halting the proceedings in the matter.

The people who have done this deserve to be applauded. Although their identities have been redacted, they have consented to have their work shown to any others who may be interested in viewing them. The letters really do show good faith and cooperative behavior by answering the immediate question – why a tax return was not filed – and at the same time asserts personal rights in the safeguard of their privacy.
